Fine purveyor of the Dark Arts, HECATE found her moniker at age seven in the spider ridden basement dwelling of her older brother. Pouring through his Dungeons and Dragons, "DEMONS AND DEMIGODS" alone she anchored onto the moonlight Goddess flanked by Wolves.

Rachael began delving into producing her first Electronic Experiments at seventeen years of age after spending a couple years raving in the legendary Techno parties Detroit has made its name for. These first tracks were released under the guise of CITIZENS of SHADE. Moving to New York City in 1994 to attend SVA, she continued to follow her path, leading to the ultimate release of the first ZHARK 12" which was self funded by her income earned from the extreme BDSM Studios working as a professional Dominatrix at age nineteen.

She looks fondly on those foundational years and always has to laugh remembering the days before BELPHEGOR popularized BLOOD MAGICK NECROMANCE with her lyrics,,, The days before Netflix reguritated any "occult" trash intimating the Human Centipede, spiritually. The days when HECATE wasnt a household name. Although she was not responsible for this "Witchcraft Craze" alone - Rachael pays great tribute and respect to those whom came before her - most namely the Grand Madame of all things "Witch" - JINX DAWSON from COVEN.

HECATE always found it an curious anomoly, the web of time coming of age raving in abandoned warehouses in the early nineties while the Black Circle was ignited in Norway at the same time. Aways drawn to the forelorn and forgotten... the immense and seething Currents - She has never faltered in transmitting her visions, and many nightmares in both the Audio and Visual realm.

These days she doesn+t shy away from the names usually reserved for Middle Aged persecutions. As the reigning Queen of the Shadowbanned, HECATE can only laugh - echoes ravage her Domain ripping through the Veil. Rachael can never decide if the process of being "shadowbanned" implies being dragged into the light and if not... what is the point of forcing a Ghoul like her to stay in the Shadows.... ?
